Design & Build – Slimmer, Lighter, Sleeker

Samsung has finally shaved down the Fold 7 to just 11.9 mm thick when folded, making it the slimmest foldable Galaxy ever. It’s also noticeably lighter than the Fold 6, improving one-handed usability. With new hinge refinements, there’s almost no visible crease, giving it a more tablet-like experience when opened.

Bonus: IP68 rating means it’s not just water-resistant anymore — dust resistance is here too.

Display – Same Size, More Brightness

While both models Galaxy Z Fold 7 vs Z Fold 6 sport the same 7.6-inch inner and 6.3-inch cover displays, the Z Fold 7 pushes brightness up to 2600 nits, making it far more usable in direct sunlight. It’s also more efficient thanks to a new LTPO panel, reducing battery consumption during idle screen time.

Performance – A Real Jump This Time

If compare to Galaxy Z Fold 7 vs Z Fold 6, defiantly the Z Fold 7 is more powerfull than Z Fold 6. The Z Fold 7 is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite or Exynos 2500, depending on the region, both of which support on-device AI and better thermal performance. Apps open faster, multitasking is smoother, and gaming runs cooler and longer.

By contrast, the Fold 6 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 already felt fast, but it lags behind in AI tasks and overall future readiness.

Camera – From Flagship to True Beast

The Z Fold 6 was decent in cameras, but the Fold 7 packs a major upgrade with a 200 MP main sensor. It delivers better low-light shots, improved zoom clarity, and a major leap in dynamic range. The under-display camera still isn’t perfect, but AI image processing now enhances video calls significantly.

Battery & Charging – Finally a Win

Battery jumps from 4400 mAh to 4600 mAh, but the big win is 45W fast charging, up from just 25W. Wireless charging is also faster. The difference is clear: Z Fold 7 charges in under 50 minutes, while the Fold 6 could take nearly 80 minutes.

Software – Galaxy AI 2.0 Takes Over

Fold 7 runs Android 15 with One UI 7.0, featuring Galaxy AI 2.0. You get live call translation, transcript summaries, AI screen resizing, AI wallpapers, and more — all done offline thanks to on-device AI. These features are exclusive to newer models and not coming to Fold 6 anytime soon.
